Pearl "Sartain" Powers

Pearl Sartain Powers, daughter of the late Levi Franklin and Lucy Revellia Campbell, was born in Dennis, Mississippi on October 28, 1910 and she departed this life on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at her residence having attained the age of 97 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Clyde Powers, he preceded her in death. Survivors include two children; one son, Paul (and Carol) Powers of Opelika, Alabama and one daughter, Jan Correll (Widow of the late Ray Correll) of Somerset, KY; one brother, Howard Sartain of Chattanooga, Tennessee, nine grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren . Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Pearl was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by those who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held in Somerset, KY at the Pulaski Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 with Rev. Steve Correll and Rev. Doug Hayes McKay officiating. She will be laid to rest on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 at the Joel Cemetery in Dennis, Mississippi. The family of Mrs. Pearl Powers will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
