Mr. Vernon E. “Jack” Spears, son of the late Arvil and Opal Beasley Spears, was born in Somerset, KY on April 04, 1927 and he departed this life on Saturday, January 12, 2008 having attained the age of 80 years.
He was united in marriage to Virginia Vaught Spears, she survives. Other survivors include; one daughter, Sandy (and Gene) Burton of Somerset, KY; one son, David (and Sherri) Spears of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Heather (and Joe) Criswell, Jon (and Angela) Spears, Brandi (and Isaiah) Super and Matthew (and Vanessa) Burton; four great grandchildren, Madison Criswell, Braxton Burton, Micah Super and Bryton Burton and one more great grandchild on the way; and one brother, Donald Lee Spears of Somerset, KY.
Mr. Spears was a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the East Somerset Baptist Church. He was a kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of other relatives, friends and church family who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Darvie Fenison, Rev. Gene Wells and Eld. S.L. Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mr. Vernon E. “Jack” Spears will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 14th, 2008 at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
