Winnie Mae Brown

Winnie Mae Brown, daughter of the late Bosey and Arzona Johnson Vaughn, was born in Pulaski County, KY on February 8, 1922 and she departed this life on Thursday, December 27, 2007 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 85 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Tom Brown, who preceded her in death. Survivors include; a son, Bobby Gene Glover; and the following brothers and sisters; Virginia Gossett and (Robert) of Somerset, KY, Fern Bumgardener of Woodstock-Elrod Community, Lowell Vaughn of Woodstock-Elrod Community, Violet (Bill) Norton of Somerset, KY and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by; a twin, Wilber Ray Vaughn of Slate Branch, a brother Denny Vaughn, a sister Icy Phelps, and a sister, Ruby Buras. Winnie was a nurses aid at Sunrise Manor for 30 years. She was a christian lady and she was a member of the Somerset First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Winnie Mae Brown will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2007 until time for services at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Gideon Bible Plan or Alzheimers Respite Association.
