Mr. Jessie F. Meece, age 86 of Somerset, son of the late Pearl (Mounce) and Cicero Meece was born on July 17, 1926 of Somerset, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Other than his parents Jessie was preceded in death by a daughter: Shirley Meece, 3 brothers: Holbert, Wesley and Jim Meece, and 2 sisters: Leana and Edith Meece. Jessie is survived by his wife of 47 years: Fern (Allison) Meece, 4 sons: Rob (and Alicia) Meece of Somerset, Kentucky, Jessie Jr. (and Leshia) Meece of Science Hill, Kentucky, Rusty Meece of Blanchester, Ohio, Roger Kevin Meece of Somerset, Kentucky, 2 sisters: Ivadean Murphy of Somerset, Kentucky and Linda Roberts also of Somerset, Kentucky. Jessie also leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Jessica Nicole Meece, Lilie Meece, Robyn Meece, Daniel Meece, Jason Alan Meece, Kara Wesley, Amber Stevens, Kelly and Jenna Behrman, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends who all mourn his passing. Jessie was a truck driver for 22 years and worked for Tecumseh for 14 years. Jessie was a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church and loved to go fishing, hunting, farming and a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pitman Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family of Jessie F. Meece will receive friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 after 11:00 a.m. until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Jessie F. Meece.
