Mrs. Gertrude Dick

Mrs. Gertrude Dick, daughter of the late Lewis and Charity New Parton, was born at Kingbee, in Pulaski County, Kentucky on February 17, 1936 and she departed this life in the presence of her family on December 21, 2007 at her residence in Dillsboro, IN. having attained the age of 71 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Earl Dick, he survives. Other survivors include; one son, James (and Jenny) Dick of Muncie, Indiana. Other survivors include; one sister, Maureen (and Carol) Sweet of Cincinnati, OH., sisters-in-law; Marie Beasley, Iva Dick, Ethel Wesley, Susie Dick, Louella Dick, Willadean Dick and Linda Cravins; brothers-in-law, Carol Sweet, Ralph Dick, Sam Wesley, and Darrell Cravins and a host of other nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Mary Ellen “Mae” Hall; the following sister-in-law, Mathel Dick and the following brothers-in-law, Carol Dick, and Archie Dick. Gertrude was a retired Beautician, and she was a graduate of the Ambers Beauty College. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the King Bee Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Gertrude Dick will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2007.
