Norma Hazel Roark Ping

Norma Hazel Roark Ping was born January 3rd, 1928 and departed this life September 2nd 2012 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ollie Bray Roark; husband Rector Ping; sons Lindsey, Tommy, and Gary; daughters Cathy and Elaine; brother, Billy Roark; sisters, Doris Mozingo and Joyce Kimble. She is survived by brothers, Freddie and Glenn Ray Roark and sister, Deanna (and Dale) Williamson. Her children, Judy (and Charles) Jones, Sherry Turner, Vicky Ping, Dwana (and Larry) Fisher, and Michelle (and Tim) Anders. Grandchildren, Melinda (and Darren) Robertson, Mike Ping, Chris (and Violet) Helton, Vanessa Ping, Melina Rose, Melony (and David) Phelps, Amanda (and Dewayne) Moore, Stephanie Griffin, Miranda (and Jason) Meeks, Derek (and Kelly) Jones, Jason (and Jennifer) Phelps, Matthew (and Brittany) Ping, Natalie Ping, Justin Anders and Brent Turner. She also leaves behind many Great Grandchildren and a host of other family who she loved very much. She was married to Rector June 24, 1946 and was a homemaker and the mother of 3 boys and 7 girls. She was a member of Acorn Church of God of Prophecy. She loved gardening, especially her flowers, quilting and spending time with family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Goodwater Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Norma Ping will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 after 11:00 a.m. until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
