Janet Bishop Diamond, 73 of Science Hill, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her residence after a long battle with Parkinson Disease.
She was born on July 27, 1939 in Greensburg, KY to the late Linzie and Cora Ellen Davis Bishop. She was member of Campground Baptist Church and enjoyed antiques, yard sales and spending time watching her grandkids.
She graduated from Green County High School in 1957 and married Virgil Astor Diamond Jr. on September 6, 1959.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years; Virgil Astor Diamond Jr. daughters, Donna Diamond Hall (and Joey) of Somerset, and Cindy Diamond Clouse (and Tom), of Somerset; daughter-in-law, Mary Martin Diamond of Corbin; two sisters, Exie Burress (and Raymond) of Campbellsville, and Inex Ennis of Campbellsville; two brothers, J.R. Bishop (and Darlene) of Greensburg, and Larry Bishop (and Brenda) of Versailles; five grandchildren, Aaron Hall, Spencer Diamond, Riley Hall, Makenzie Clouse and Benjamin Clouse.
She was preceded in death my her parents, and her son, Virgil Diamond III.
Visitation for Janet Diamond will be Thursday, August 23 after 6:00 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home, 165 Hwy 2227, Somerset, Ky 42501.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg, Ky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy be sent to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
