Mr. Lewis Henry Hyden, son of the late John and Dora Boyd Hyden, was born on March 5, 1935 and he departed this life at his residence on Saturday, August 4, 2012 having attained the age of 77 years. He is survived by a brother; Robert Hyden of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Nora Mylie of Queensburg, NY and Margaret Wallace of Somerset, KY; 12 nieces, 2 nephews; 1 special niece, Sherle Mylie of Queensburg, NY; two sisters-in-law, Lydia and Mary Ann Hyden and a very special dog, Blackie. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; 5 brothers, Rufus, Arthur, Ernest, Roscoe, and Melvin Hyden; 2 sisters, Betty Lois and Dorothy Hyden; 3 brothers-in-law; Edward Hyden, Peter Mylie, and Don Wallace; and a sister-in-law; Bernice Hyden. Lewis adhered to the Baptist Faith. He worked as a construction worker in New York until he retired and moved to Science Hill where he enjoyed working on his small farm. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him, he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Thomlison officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue John Cemetery The family of Mr. Lewis Hyden will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Blue John Cemetery Fund. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Lewis Hyden.
