Mr. Denver Hislope, son of the late Rupert and Ruby Richardson Hislope was born in Delmer, Kentucky on September 16, 1932 and he departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2012 having attained the age of 79 years.
He was united in marriage to Joanne Morris Hislope, she survives; two daughters blessed this union; Jeanette Hislope of Somerset, KY and Kristi Hislope of Dahlonega, GA. He is also survived by one brother; Mr. J. D. Hislope of Louisville, KY, and one sister; Loretta (and Gayle) Wilson of Nancy, KY.
Denver was the former owner and current stockholder of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and is a current stockholder in Pulaski Funeral Home. He was also the former owner of House Funeral Home in London, KY, and the former owner of Tempquest and Jet Press. Denver was a Korean War Navy Veteran, a Gideon, a Ham radio Operator, and a member of Seivers Lodge #491 F & AM and a member of the Ferguson United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until time for services. Following the services a time of food and fellowship will follow in the funeral home.
Burial will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Science Hill Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. They also request that everyone feel free to come to the funeral home in a casual fashion.
