Mary Jane Hornsby

Mary Jane Meece Hornsby was born in Somerset, KY on August 13, 1936 , the daughter of the late Lonnie and Angie Tarter Meece and departed this life on Saturday June 9, 2012 having attained the age of 75 years. Mary Jane was united in marriage to Oscar Hornsby on September 1st 1955 in Somerset, he survives. Mrs. Hornsby is Survived by two daughters; Jill Hornsby Steder ( Glen II) of Lexington and Cindy Hornsby Short (Mark) of Lexington, five grand children; Eleanor Steder, Phillip Steder III, Sarah Stoner (Steve) , Amy Wise and Rebecca Wise, and one great grandchild Nicholas Stoner. She was preceded in death by her parents and a infant girl Hornsby . Mary Jane was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church , a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution , a 1954 Graduate of Somerset High school, and a member of the Pulaski county Democrat Woman’s Club She was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all that knew her. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Hornsby will be at T Grace Baptist Church on Wednesday June 13,2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating, burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mary Jane Hornsby will receive friends at the grace Baptist Church from 5-8 p.m Tuesday June 12,2012. The family request that in lieu of flowers that Expressions of Sympathy take the form of donations to Grace Baptist Church , 340 Oak Leaf Lane, Somerset, KY 42503 Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arragements.
