Mr. Rufus Lathene Troxtell, son of the late Lou Ellen (Nicholas) Troxtell and John Walter Troxtell. was born on May 21, 1930 and he departed this life on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at his residence having attained the age of 77 years.
He was united in marriage to Doris Troxtell on July 03, 1956 in Jellico, TN, she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Penny Ritchie of Somerset, KY and Dixie (and Dennis) Billmaier of Michigan; three sons, David and Jack Troxtell of Bronston, KY and Jeff (and Kelly) Troxtell also of Bronston, KY; eleven grandchildren, Amanda Ritchie of Lexington, KY, Rosa (and David) Goodman of Bronston, KY, Jessica Troxtell of TN, Chris Troxtell of Oakgrove, KY, Shawn Troxtell of Arizona, Melissa Billmaier of OH, Allison Billmaier of MI, Shelbie and Matthew Troxtell of Bronston, KY, and Tiffany and Dereck Troxtell of FL; two great grandchildren, Morgan Ritchie and Benny Goodman of Bronston, KY; one brother, Hulen (and Jeanette)Troxtell of Bronston, KY; two sisters, Emma Stigall of Bronston, KY and Rosie (and Larry) Hogue of Waynesburg, KY and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughte,; Adrian Troxtell and five brothers who died in infancy.
Mr. Troxtell was an employee of American Ship Bulding Corp of Loraine, OH where he retired after 35 years of service to the company. He received the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior in 1991. He loved gardening, & flowers as well as hunting, fishing, going to flea markets and listening to Bluegrass music.
He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Rufus Lathene Troxtell will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Hollars Cemetery at Bronston, KY.
The family of Mr. Rufus "Lathene" Troxtell will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007.
