Bro. Howard Edward Burton, son of the late Joe Clark and Beatrice Denham Burton, was born on March 6, 1936 and he departed this life on Monday, May 21, 2012 at his residence having attained the age of 76 years.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Iva Bea Jackson Burton on May 13, 1961 in Somerset, KY, she survives. Other survivors include two daughters; Cynthia Warren and Sherry Upchurch both of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Shonda Bajorek of Cincinnati, OH, Krista Cure of Cincinnati, OH,, Tiffany Isabelle and Kyle Isabelle both of Somerset, KY; six great grandchildren, Alex, Evan, & Drew Bajorek, Xavier and Amelia Knight, and Natalie Isabelle; one brother, Lawrence Burton of Russell Springs, KY and three sisters, Doris Hail of Somerset, KY, Delores Carrender of Science Hill, KY and Margie Brumfield of Harrington Lake, KY.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lucielle Burton who died in infancy.
Howard was the founder and member of the Jabez Missionary Church of God and the owner of Farmers Milling for several years. He was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Fellowship Church of God on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jerry Burnett, Bro. Montie Phillips and Bro. Dallas Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24th, 2012
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY or the Trinity Fellowship Church of God.
