Alonzo Stevens

Alonzo C. Stevens son of the late Henry and Betty Meece Stevens was born in Pulaski County on May 7,1928 and departed this life at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset on September 24, 2007, having attained the age of 79 years. Alonzo was a plant manager for Burley Belt Chemical and Cargill Company, Inc. for many years. He was also a member of Zion Baptist Church. In May of 1950 he was united in marriage to Zelma Stevens who survives. Other survivors include, one daughter, Betty Marie (and Richard “Ricky”) Wells of Somerset, KY, two grandchildren; Richard Brian Wells of Somerset, KY, Christina (and David) Eastham of Richmond, KY, three great grandchildern, Autumn Wells, Winston Wells and Noah Eastham, one brother, Cordell Stevens of Somerset, KY, three sister’s, Mae Ross, Dean Keeney, Francis King. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Freddie Lee Stevens and a sister Lela Bray. Funeral Services will be Friday September 28,2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home , with Bro. Ed Watkins,and Bro. Doug Eggers officiating , burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Alonzo Stevens will be at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Thursday September 27, 2007. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
