Numan Kenneth "Smiley" Sears

Mr. Numan Kenneth “Smiley” Sears, age 76 of Columbus, Indiana, son of the late William Jesse Wells and Audrey Emma Sears was born on April 5, 1936 in Mt. Victory, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Facility in Columbus, Indiana. Numan is survived by a daughter; Kathy Sears, 3 sisters; Jacqueline S. Gilreath of Williston, Florida, Lamona Glover of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Shelia (and James) Powell of Science Hill, Kentucky, 2 brothers; John D. (and Debbie) Wells of Somerset, Kentucky and Charles Wells of Eubank, Kentucky. Numan also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, 6 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 great nieces,. 5 great nephews and a host of friends who all mourn his passing. Other than his parents Numan was preceded in death by his wife Polly Derringer Sears back in July of 1969, his maternal grandparents; Sylvester and Mrytle Sears, his paternal grandparents; Eli David and Martha Wells, 4 brothers; Sherman D. Wells and the 3 others died in infancy. Numan had a hard life but a good one. He was a truck driver and never met a flower he didn’t like. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garrison Cemetery.
