Mrs. Thelma Marie Weddle, age. 93 of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Rev. J.R. and Mattie (Brinson) Sears was born on May 9, 1918 and departed this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
Other than her parents Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; Ozel Weddle, 4 brothers; James Sears, Raymond Sears and 2 brothers that died at infancy, 2 sisters; Betty A. Sears, Geneva Sears who also died at infancy and 2 half brothers; Eugene and Gerald Sears.
Thelma is survived by 1 sister; Mildred Girdler of Somerset, Kentucky, a foster child; Roy Eugene Smith of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who all mourn her passing.
Thelma was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was the owner of old Weddle’s Grocery. Thelma loved making quilts and had a very big heart and loved giving to her family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at
11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Thelma Weddle will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for services at 11:00 on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Pulaski Funeral Home Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
