Mr. Russell Murphy

Mr. Russell L. Murphy, son of the late Henry and Pearlie Rowe Murphy, was born at Northfield, KY on October 17, 1933 and he departed this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 78 years. He was united in marriage to Iva Dean Murphy, she survives. Other survivors include; one son, Dennie (and Vicky) Murphy and one daughter, Rita Ann Miller all of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Eveline Haynes of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Jessie Miller, and Ryan Danielle Murphy; three step grandchildren, Melissa Nicole Cornett, Dustin Stamper, and Peyton Bailey; and one great grandchild, Lexton Murphy. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers, Herbert, Elmer, William, Boyd, Ernest, Waymon, Henry, jr., Kenneth, Pershing, and Lawrence Wesley Murphy. Russell was member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church, he was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Pitman Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pitman Creek Cemetery. The family of Mr. Murphy will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening, March 29, 2012 and after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Russell Murphy.
