Mr. Milburn Pierce, son of the late Charlie and Edith Merrick Pierce, was born on November 9, 1938 in Fort Lupton, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 while visiting Somerset, KY, having attained the age of 73 years.
Survivors include a fiancee‘; Gail Robertts, one son, Robby (and Michele) Pierce of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Vickie (and David) Elkin of Lexington, KY and Jennifer Lawrence of Naples, Florida; one brother, Wayne (and Diann) Pierce of Somerset, KY; one grandson, Eric Walker of Jackson, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Kristine Pierce of Lexington, KY and Lauren (and Blake) Turner of Somerset, KY; three great grandchildren, Tripp Walker, Riley Walker, and Rylan Turner.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lola Pierce; his step-mother, Grace Ard Pierce.
Milburn was a member of the Seagate Baptist Church of Naples, Florida where he has been a resident for many years. When visiting Somerset he attended the Langdon Street Baptist Church. He was a contractor, and had been one since 1957, he also loved his ranch, hunting and horseback riding and what made him happiest in life was giving and doing for his family and friends. He was a kind person who will be missed by all family and friends, he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Tarter Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Milburn Pierce will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012.
