On the morning of September 7, 2007 the Lord called Sister Mary "Elaine" McCormack home.
She was born on February 2, 1954 in Somerset, KY to Missionary Mary Elizabeth Ingram - Tooley and the late George E. Ingram. She was united in marriage on November 7, 1995 to Bishop Donald L. McCormack, he survives.
Other than her mother and husband; she is also leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Delinda Newell; her son-in-law, Sean Newell; her foster-brother, Sebastian D. "Dusty" Walker; two special great aunts, Flossie M. Goggins and Joyce A. Goggins; her special aunts, Ellen D. (and Benjamin) Raglin, Barbara L. Ingram and Helen D. Perkins; one brother-in-law, Alfred L. McCormack; one niece, one great niece and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by; one brother, Thomas L. "Yogi" Ingram.
Sister Elaine McCormack was baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a faithful prayer warrior and a special prayer partner to her mother; Missionary Tooley. Sister McCormack had a dedicated ministry to the youth of the church. She was known for her joyous smile and her rejoicing and worshiping in the Lord freely. She had words of wisdom and encouragement for al those she came in contact with. Her absence on earth will leave a void in the hearts of her church family; but we know she is in the presence of the Lord.
She will be sadly missed by her former co-workers in the dietary Department of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital with whom she worked with for more than 20 years. She leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passsing and celebrate her homegoing.
Funeral services will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 with Pastor Matera Bumpus officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Mary Elaine McCormack will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
