Mrs. Oma Lee Criswell Dobbs, daughter of the late Goldman and Ethel Carrender Criswell, was born in Wayne County, KY on June 15, 1941 and she departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 70 years.
Survivors include; one son, Allen (and Jami) Dobbs of Ferguson, KY; two sisters, Lillian (and Wilburn) Jones and Betty Morris of Wayne County, KY; four grandchildren, Chase, Chandler, Cacee, and David Dobbs; one great grandchild, Xavier Dobbs; one niece, June Dobbs of Wayne County, KY and a very special family member, Judy Simpson Thompson who was as close as a daughter.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Dale Dobbs; one brother, Charlie Arnold “Buddy” Criswell; one sister, Margie Criswell; and one niece, Nadene Keeton.
When she was younger, she was employed as a supervisor with the Monticello Shirt Factory until it burned. She then worked for a time as a waitress at the Anchor Motel and Restaurant for several years.
She was a kind lady who will be missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Reffert officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello.
The family of Mrs. Oma Lee Criswell Dobbs will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until time for services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
