Mabel Mounce Fulcher, daughter of the late Charlie E. and Minnie James Mounce, was born on April 24, 1918 and departed this life on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center having attained the age of 93 years.
Survivors include; one daughter, Margaret “Maggie” Ellis Munsey; four grandchildren, Michael (and Judy) Dalton, Susan (and Troy) Karriker, LaDonna (David) Lundy, Donald II (and Julie) Fulcher; seven great grandchildren; Troy Karriker II, Cassidy, Clayton, and Christopher Dalton, Megan (and Todd) Olson, Nathan and Jared Fulcher.. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death b y; her husband, Raymond Fulcher; one son, Donald Fulcher; one son-in-law, Dwayne Dalton; one sister, Bessie Smiley; and three brothers, Teddy, Kenneth, and Crawford Mounce.
Mabel was a member of the White Lily Baptist Church for 79 years and faithfully attended and supported her church until 2 years ago due to health. She continued to witness daily up to her last days and never met a stranger. She had a talent for singing and it showed as she “performed” many times while at Somerwoods. She will be greatly missed.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, White Lily Baptist Church or the Student Center of Beacon Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fulcher will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Fulcher will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
