Mrs. Mary Rose Denham Keller, daughter of the late Marion and Valara McCluskey Denham, was born in Somerset, KY on December 22, 1926 and she departed this life in the presence of her family to go and be with the Lord on his day, Sunday, August 26, 2007 having attained the age of 80 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Vernon Keller on November 15, 1947 and they were united in marriage until he was called home to be with the Lord on February 12, 1991.
Survivors include; one daughter, Connie (and Herman)Soeder; three sons, Gary Keller(and daughter-in-law,Elaine Keller) William "Bill"(and Deborah)Keller, and John Keller; eleven grandchildren, Robin (and John)Crisp, Tim (and Stacey)Soeder, Dana (and Steve)Bush, Jennifer (and Clayton)Witt, Vernon (and Janell)Soeder, Angela (and Monty)Absher, Adam (and Erin) Keller, Travis(and Ashley)Keller, Marybeth Haney, Kerry Keller and Johnny Keller Jr.; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Zelma Caylor, and Ruth Hall; three brothers, Gene, Dewey and Lawrence Denham; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives who will both mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing.
Other than her parents and husband, others who were called home before her include; one daughter who died in infancy, Iris Lynn Keller; two brothers, Obie and Ray Denham; one sister, Etta Erisman; and her very special friend, Camper.
She was a Past Matron of Queen Esther Chapter #1 Order of the Eastern Star; she was also a homemaker, a former employye of the old Somerset Hospital for several years, a farmer, a retired employee of Lier Sieglar in Somerset, KY, and she later was a Federal Employee having worked for the National Parks Systems as a Park Attendant for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The family would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to the wonderful, dedicated and compassionate people for all of the many hours of quality care given to Mrs. Keller and the family during Mrs. Kellers illness. Some of these people include, but are not limited to Dr. David Flynn, all Home Health and Lake Cumberland Hospice personell involved in her care and many other special people and family members to numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Bullock officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Mt. Zion Community of Science Hill, KY. The family of Mrs. Mary Rose Denham Keller will receive friends at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 and there will be an Eastern Star ceremony held at 7:00 p.m.Tuesday evening at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home in honor of Mrs. Keller. The ceremony will be put on by the Eastern Star, Somerset Chapter.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Lake Cumberland Home Health.
