Mr. Russell Clinton Schoolcraft, son of the late Ira and Sallie Tarter Schoolcraft, was born September 27, 1919 and he departed this life at his residence on Saturday, February 18, 2012 having attained the age of 92 years.
Survivors include; one son, Eddie Schoolcraft; one son-in-law, Jim Brooks; three grandchildren, Tonya (and Anthony) Venable, Brad (and Sabrina) Schoolcraft, and Susi (and Robert) Lawson; seven great grandchildren, Allie Venable, Braden Venable, Mary Schoolcraft, Molly Schoolcraft, Aimee’ Flynn, April Nortis, and Stephen Flynn; six great great grandchildren, Chelsey Flynn, Gabriel Spradlin, Kailan Flynn, Makayla Noritis, Steven Flynn, and Madison Flynn.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; his first wife and mother of his children, Kathleen Garner Schoolcraft; his second wife, Aline Schoolcraft; his daughter, Elizabeth Brooks; his daughter-in-law, Barbara Schoolcraft; one grandson, Rusty Brooks and two sisters, Kathleen Harris and Irene Flynn.
Mr. Schoolcraft was a World War II veteran and fought in the South Pacific. He was a soft spoken Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
The family of Mr. Russell Clinton Schoolcraft will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Morning until time for services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
