Dorothy “Dot” Hunt Baker, age 74, of Somerset, KY, passed away from this life on Monday, February 13, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Drum, KY on May 29th, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Hunt and Deva M. Yadon Hunt.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Edmund Baker, whom she married on May 13th 1955. Other survivors include; two daughters, Kathy (and Jeff) Bishop, and Melissa (and Kevin) Bradley; two granddaughters, Erika Bishop Johnson (and her husband Don), Ashley Bishop and her fiance‘, Justin Kerr; and one sister, Gustava Bray.
Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by; four brothers, Bob, Andrew, Derward, and Gerald Hunt, and two sisters, Geneva Hunt and Audrey Tarter.
Dorothy retired from Palm Beach Company in 1991 and enjoyed her retirement years with her husband, Ed and their dog, Muffin. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Cumberland Church of Christ.
The family of Dorothy “Dot” Baker will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Bialon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
