Mr. Edward McClendon, age 83, of Faubush, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Somerwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. He was born in Vinnie, Kentucky on October 3, 1928, son of the late Arvil and Lucy Carrender McClendon. He was a farmer. Edward attended Cooks Chapel Methodist Church, where he was a faithful attendant many years until his health declined. Edward is survived by his wife of 63 years; Edith Johnson McClendon, one daughter; Sue (and Bill) Denney of Faubush, Kentucky, one son; Delvin (and Linda) McClendon of Somerset, Kentucky, three brothers; Wendell (and Ruth) McClendon of Shirley, Indiana, Furl (and Delotta) McClendon of Nancy, Kentucky, Eugene (and Barbara) McClendon of Burksville, Kentucky, one sister; Marie Daulton of Nancy, Kentucky, four grandchildren; Amy Denney of Somerset, Kentucky, Cindy Bond of Canton, Georgia, Christi (and Scott) Hurt of Lexington, Kentucky, Joey (and Traci) McClendon of Somerset, Kentucky, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who all mourn his passing. Edward is preceded in death by one brother; Earl. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. J.S New, Bro. Ben Mitchell and Bro. Scott Whittle officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Edward McClendon will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Edward McClendon.
