Mary Slusher, daughter of the late George and Millie Jane Brinson Hargis, was born in Somerset, KY on November 29, 1922 and departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2011 having attained the age of 89 years.
She was untied in marriage to mr. Herman Brokamp, he preceded her in death. She later was united in marriage to Mr. Matt Slusher, he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include; four children, Michael Brokamp of Florence, KY, William Villians of the Corain Township, Ohio, Joyce Schmidt of Cincinnati, OH and Caorlyn (and Will) Hatfield of Waverly, OH; four step-children, William Slusher of Dayton, OH, Robert Slusher of Cincinnati, OH, Terry Macnamara of Cincinnati, OH, and Diane Ooten of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Margaret Blevins, Lily Greene, and Othella Hargis; and a vast host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, Hollis, Carlas, Christine, Arlie, Gledith, Walt, and Janet.
Mary was a member of the White Lily Baptist Church and she and her husband were also members of the local D.A.V. Chapter, she worked as a grandmother at the Oakwood Training Facility.
She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Slusher will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Mary Slusher will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
