Mary Lou Vaught, daughter of the late Enos and Lola Phillips Tarter, was born in the Ringgold Community of Pulaski County, KY on April 5, 1929 and she departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2011 having attained the age of 82 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. James Edward Vaught, he survives. Other survivors include; three children, David Edward (and Rachel ) Vaught of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Anna (and Karl) Whitis of Somerset, KY and Billy (and Connie) Vaught also of Somerset, KY; six grandchildren, D.J. Vaught of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Melinda Nichols of North Carolina, Joshua Vaught of Somerset, KY, Travis Vaught of Somerset, KY, Shanda Whitis of Somerset, KY and Heather Whitis of Burnside, KY; eight great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Ruby Vaught of Little Rock, AK.
Other than her parent, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Mr. Walter Tarter and Ms. Bertie Tarter.
Mary Lou was a member of the Nelson Valley Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Tarter officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Mary Lou Vaught will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning until time for services.
