Ruth Helen Vanhook

Ruth Helen VanHook, the daughter of the late William Beckham and Jessie Mae Smiley Rose was born November 25, 1932 at Ruth, Kentucky, wife of Howard Lee VanHook was united in marriage on September 24, 1955, departed this life on December 2, 2011 in Somerset, having attained the age of 79 years . She was mother to Marvin VanHook, Debbie England-Hall (Alan), Karen Carrender (Ken, deceased), Cynthia VanHook, Steven Van Hook (Tracey), Jessica Wilson (Duane) all of Somerset. Regina Irvin (Randall) and Jennifer New (Charley) both of Cartersville, Georgia. Ruth was a retired seamstress and loving caregiver to her sister Dorothy. A member of Old Fashion Faith Baptist Church, Ruth’s greatest joy was the nurturing she provided to her husband, sister, 8 children, 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She will join her parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister in afterlife. We celebrate their reunion and mourn our loss. Funeral Services for Ruth Helen VanHook will be in the Chapel of Pulaski funeral Home on Tuesday December 6,2011 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Clyde Strunk, Bro. Marvin Rose, Bro. David Terwilliger officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Ruth Helen VanHook will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Monday December 5, 2011. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
