Mr. James Paul Stephens, son of the late Leslie and Nellie Moore Stephens, was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on January 3, 1946 and he departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 having attained the age of 65 years.
He was united in marriage to Tina Thompson Stephens, she survives. Other survivors include; seven sons, Jeff Thompson, James Paul Stephens, Jr. (and his wife, Coleen) of McCreary Co., KY, Billy (and Kathy) Stephens of Albany, KY, Johnny (and Misty) Stephens of Albany, KY, Marshall (and D’nea) Stephens of Monticello, Anthony (and Autumn) Stephens of Albany, KY, Robert (and Madonna) Stephens of Monticello, KY; two daughters, Tammy Stephens Hicks, (and Kelly) of Tateville, KY, Jerrica Stephens Whitaker (and Eric) of Somerset, KY; three brothers, Bruce, Kelly and Bill Stephens; four sisters, Beth (and Steve) Bennish, Nellie (and Joe) Thompson, Laura Current, and Willie Phillips; 33 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; one son, Jerry Thompson Stephens, three brothers, Allen, Carl , and Wiley Stephens and one grandchild, Johnny Stephens, Jr.
Mr. Stephens was a member of the Jehovah Witness, and a former U. S. Marine.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 with Bro. Shawn Wolf officiating.
