Mr. Neal T. Jones

Neal T. Jones, son of the late James Jones Sr., and Lillie Pruett Jones, was born on February 22, 1926 and he departed this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 having attained the age of 85 years. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jones , she preceded him in death. Survivors include: One daughter, Betty (and Preston) Moyer of Science Hill, KY; three grandsons; Tommy (and Tammy) Moyer of Lexington, KY, Randall “Butch” Moyer of Science Hill, KY, and Brett ( and Melissa) Moyer of Mt. Sterling, KY; and one sister; Jerleen Mason of Danville, Ga. Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; one sister, Mildred Herndon; three brothers, Jim, Melvin, and Phillip Jones; one half sister, Nellie King; and three half brothers, Frank, Hutch and Ernest Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from the L.E. Lichford, Inc. of Lynchburg, Virginia; he was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, and a World War II veteran and a purple heart recipient. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38. The family of Mr. Neal Jones will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Neal Jones.
