Mr. Malcolm Harlan Smith, son of the late William Riley and Donna Phelps Smith, was born at Stab, KY on December 18, 1934 and he departed this life on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the University of Kentucky Medical center having attained the age of 72 years.
He was united in Marriage to Patty J. "Pat" Smith, she survives. Other survivors include; his stepson, Jeff (and Theresa) Bass of Mooresville, North carolina; one sister, Patricia (and William) Gonzalez of Miami, FL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; two brothers, William J. Smith and Leon Smith; and one sister, Janette Sue Davison.
Malcolm was a retired Vice President of Sysco Foods, a Korean War Navy veteran and he adhered to the Baptist Faith. he was a kinde person who will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 with Rev. harold Harris and rev, Jerry Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs national Cemetery with Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
The family of Mr. Malcolm Harlan Smith will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. The family requests that as well as flower, expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Seiver Lodge #491 F & Am who will be bringing Masonic services in honor of Mr. Smith at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
