Mr. Robert L. "Bob Trigg" Whitaker, age 71 the son of the late James L. "Trigg" Whitaker and Sallie Vanhook Whitaker Moxley, was born October 30, 1935 at Line Creek in Pulaski County and departed this life July 5, 2007 in London, KY. Robert was a log buyer for Robinson Stave Company of East Bernstadt, a member of Queene City Masonic Lodge #559, a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons: Brenton and his wife Gertrude of Cincinnati, OH, Shane Whitaker and his wife Jocelyn of Cincinnati, OH and Robert Vermont Whitaker of London, KY; one sister, Elise Whitaker Yealy-Rawlings, Joelton TN; one grandson, Reece James Whitaker. He was preceded in death by; his parents; 2 sisters; Helen Bernice Drew and Gladys Scalf; one brother, Rayford Whitaker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Vestal Meece officiating, Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home After 6:00 P.M. Wednesday July 11, 2007. Masonic Services will be conducted by Somerset Masonic lodge #111 Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. Miltiary Honors will be conducted by Amercian Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethany Baptist Church. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
