Imogene Stephens Albertson, age 87 years and 7 days of Somerset, KY formerly of Revelo, KY went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2011 at the McCreary County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 1, 1924 in Revelo, KY to the late William Thomas and Ruthie Elizabeth Stephens.
Imogene was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY.
She had worked as a bookkeeper at Kidd Motor Company for several years and worked in the Church as secretary of the Sunday School at Beacon Hill. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing much of the known countries. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Wilbur J. Albertson; her parents; two brothers, Hurstle & Orville Stephens and her sisters, Valzenie Stephens, Opal Stephens, Madge Kidd, Mary Stephens, Gladys Stephens and Goldie Trammell.
Survivors include; her step-son, Jim (and Donna) Albertson, her nieces, Shirley (and Dillard) Nunn Wright Joyce (and Vester) Lewis, Edna Reynolds, Eva Lee Ross, Bernice Hamlin, Ann (and Raymond) Shoopman, and Norma (and Chet) Baxter, Barbara (and Paul) Meadows; nephews, Hurstle (and Carol) Kidd , Jerry Allen Stephens, Tim (and Sherrie) Stephens, Glen Lindell Trammell, Duwayne Trammell, Kenneth (and June) Stephens Glen (and Mellavee) Stephens, Doyle (and Vickie) Stephens, William Dale (and Doris) Stephens, Ronald (and Connie) Stephens and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and two very dear friends, Thelma Wright and Shirley Ramsey. She was a lovely person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Stephens and Elder Glen Lindel Trammell officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery in Revelo, KY.
The family of Mrs. Imogene Albertson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
