Mrs. Daisy E. Doolin, of the Bobtown Community and daughter of the late Starlin and Lizzie Turner Baker, was born at Yahoo, KY on June 8, 1924 and she departed this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 having attained the age of 87 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. John Doolin, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two brothers, Emery Lewis (and Verla) Baker of New Lebanon, Ohio and William Luther “Bill” Baker of Dayton, Ohio; a vast host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was an honorary grandmother to; Evan Whitis, Emma Whitis, Jordan Cowan and Brandon Cowan, and she is also survived by; two very special neighbors and friends, Mr. Steve Cowan and his wife Debbie. Along with a vast host of other relatives and friends.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; three sisters, Ethel Baker, Julia Flynn and Glenda Gantz.
Daisy was a member of the Eden Baptist Church, she was an avid quilter and she was very well known as a tremendous gardener and she enjoyed gardening very much. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3rd until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to; Hospice of Lake Cumberland, The Eden Baptist Church, or the Pine Hill Cemetery Fund.
