Clara Mildred Alexander, age 73, daughter of the late Robert Evan “Jim” and Ada Bea (Lovins) Barron was born on December 26, 1937 in Bobtown, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She has been a resident at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home for seven years.
Clara’s husband Julius “Peewee” Alexander preceded her in death October 2,2006, their only son Danny Wayne Alexander preceded her in death August 29,1989 . She was also preceded in death by one sister Marie Stephens (2001) two brothers; Charles Lee Barron (1988) and Lindsay Jay Barron (1995) four nephews; Orville Barron, Bobby Eldridge, Calvin Eldridge, Austin Eldridge and one niece; Pamela Allen
She is survived by one grandson; Kyle Wayne Alexander of Somerset ,one brother; Robert “Bob” Barron Jr. of Indianapolis IN, Four Sisters; Lena Mae Eldridge of Indianapolis, IN Doris Bea Allen of Louisville KY, Lois Fayrene Phelps, Woodstock, KY, Viola Jane Taylor of Reynoldsburg. She is also survived by three generations of nieces and nephews and many members of the Alexander family.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church, a employee of General Electric Co. of Somerset for many years, until the effects of a stroke forced her to retire in 1989.
Clara’s hobby was word search puzzles. She also won a lot of bingo games at Sunrise Manor.
If Clara could give you a message today she would tell you how beautiful heaven is and that the reason she is there is because she believed in Jesus Christ the son of almighty God and that Jesus paid her sin debt when he died on the cross. Please read John 3:16-17.
Funeral services for Clara Mildred Alexander will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with her nephew Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating, with burial in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The Family of Mrs. Clara Margaret Alexander will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time for services on Tuesday August 23, 2011.
