Norma Marie Norfleet Tarter

Norma Marie Norfleet Tarter, 95, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away August 10, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Norfleet, Kentucky on September 16, 1915, daughter of the late Edgar and Leona Vanhoosier Norfleet. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was the longest and oldest member. She is survived by two daughters, Loistene & (Morris) Norfleet and Arrena & (Nelson) Ard, both of Nancy, one grandchild, Doug & (Lora Lee) Norfleet, two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Norfleet and adopted granddaughter, Tammy Mercer Lange of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Tarter, whom she married on May 30, 1931 and who died in 1963, her parents, four brothers, Claude, Denton, Farris and Virl Norfleet and four sisters, Faye Oaks, Loure Cundiff, Beatrice Watkins and Maudena Kingston. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Caldwell and Bro. Larry Harris officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Norma Norfleet Tarter will be after 6 PM Friday at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
