Ms. Tamara Leah Brown

December 1, 1960 — August 3, 2011

Ms. Tamara Leah Brown, daughter of Sam D. Brown, Jr. and the late Flora Mae Hutchison Brown, was born in Louisville, Kentucky and she departed this life in Louisville, KY having attained the age of 50 years. Survivors include; her father, Mr. Sam D. Brown; her life partner, Brad Leavitt; one brother, Michael (and Christy) Brown; three sisters, Dianne Brown, Beverly (and Roger) Gover, and Vickie Thieneman; one niece, Juliane (and Jarrod) Carter; four nephews, Douglas Elliott II, Mike Brown, Scott Thieneman and J.T. Thieneman and one great niece, Avery Carter. Other than her mother, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel and Nettie Brown, and Harry and Zella Hutchison. Tamara was the Mall Manager at the communities of Oakwood. She was a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, and had attended the University of Kentucky. She adhered to the Baptist Faith. Tamara was a kind lady, yet very strong willed, she was always a great person to be around. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services for Tamara Leah Brown will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Keith McKim officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Church Cemetery. The family of Tamara Brown would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to the staff of Pulaski Funeral Home of Somerset, KY and Brown Funeral Home of Mayfield, KY The family of Tamara Leah Brown will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home of Somerset, KY from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the American Cancer Society.
