Mr. James C. “Jimbo” Green, son of the late Homer Leo and Eva Ramona Tucker Green, was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on August 1, 1928, he departed this life on Saturday, July 30, 2011 having attained the age of 82 years.
Survivors include the following nephews and nieces; Robert Nicholson of Missouri, Ronald P. Nicholson of Kentucky, Randy Nicholson of Missouri, Brenda (and William ) Taylor of Kentucky, Ramona Bradhurst of Missouri and Kim Eddleman of Michigan and great nephews and nieces, Paula Whitis, Mauricia Smith, Bill Taylor, Paul Taylor, and Ronnie Taylor, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one brother, Homer Leo Green, JR; two sisters, Pauline Webber and Margaret Jones; one niece, Violet Ford, and one nephew, Robbie Nicholson.
Jimbo was a kind person who loved his coloring books, red wagon and family. He had many adventures in life and will be greatly missed in death. The family of James “Jimbo” Green would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff of Crestview Nursing Home for their love and care of Jimbo.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 04, 2011 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dyer Cemetery. The family of Mr. Green will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until after services.
In Lieu of flowers and because of his love of balloons, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of assorted helium filled balloons in Mr. Greens memory that will be released at the cemetery.
