Leslie L. Eggers

Mr. Leslie L. Eggers, 90, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital following a short illness. He was born on March 5, 1921 in Somerset, KY to the late Joe L. and Letha (Garland) Eggers. He was a local photographer for many years. Mr. Eggers spent much of his life as a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and was an ordained Deacon. He was currently a member of Nelson Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his church family, and caring for his animals. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juanita Vaughn Eggers, whom he married on March 9, 1943 in Somerset, KY; his five children, one son, Ron (and Susie) Eggers, of Cincinnati, OH and four daughters, Janice (and Alton) Barron, Mary Lou (and Bernie) Kearns, Shirley (and Larry) Hamilton, and Sally (and Barry) Daulton, all of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Dale (and Janie Barron, of Somerset, KY, Gina (and Chuck) Gibson of Lexington, KY, Rhonda (and Jimmy) Nelson of Somerset, KY, Jennifer Kearns of Lexington, KY, Steven (and Jeanette) Hamilton of Somerset, KY, Ricky (and Sarah) Hamilton of Oxford, MS, Brandon Daulton of Newport, KY, and Brittany Daulton of Knoxville, TN; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney, Connor, Chandler, Chase, and Cassie Nelson of Somerset, KY, Paige Barron of Somerset, KY, Taylor Grace Hamilton of Oxford, MS, and Graham Hamilton of Somerset, KY; and one brother Robert (and Bernice) Eggers of Westfield, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents , and two brothers Donald and Rex Eggers both of Somerset, KY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Blevins, Bro. Grant Hardwick, and Bro. Doug Eggers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Leslie Eggers will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
