Mrs. Martha Burchfield Ridner, daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Rose Sears, was born in White Lily, KY on June 30, 1927 and she departed this life in Somerset, Kentucky on July 8, 2011 having attained the age of 84 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the White Lily Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children; Ulena (and William) Murphy of Clay Hill, Josephine (and Charles) Anderson and Robert (and Linda) Burchfield of Somerset,and James (and Charlotte) Burchfield of Eubank; two step-children, Dale (and Della) Ridner of Eubank and Elva (and Phil) Kirkpatrick of Somerset; two special nephews, Mike (and Vickie) Meece of Somerset and Sherman (and Kathy) Meece of Colo Community. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Patricia Bolin, John Jacob Murphy, Wanda Hines, Tara Anderson, Charles Anderson, jr., Amber Burchfield King, Daniel Kirkpatrick,Angel Kirkpatrick, Jessica Cook, Angela Ridner, Johnathan Ridner, Mitchell Wesley, Timmy Ridner, and Traci McClendon, also survivng are 18 great grandchildren, one brother, one sister, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elza Burchfield; her second husband, Johnny Ridner; three grandchildren; three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Burchfield Ridner will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Dalous Sears and Rev. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley's Chapel Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Martha Burchfield Ridner will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
