Mrs. Mildred I. Conley Phipps, daughter of the late John R. and Hattie Hunley Conley, was born in Salyersville, KY on June 02, 1922 and she departed this life on Sunday, June 03, 2007 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 85 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Melvin Phipps for 69 years prior to her death. He survives. Other survivors include; one son, Eugene H. Phipps (and his wife Donna), and two daughters, Glenda Kay Phipps and Sandra Lee Ashe (and her husband, Steve; eight grandchildren, David Ray (and Denise) Phipp, Pam (and Mike) Carter, Craig (and Denise) Lindak, Glenda Buzzelli, Laura (and Mark) Murray, David Rogers, Karen (and Mike) Burke and Lauren Ashe; 113 great grandchildren, Rachel, Kyle, Brianna, Josh, Jonathan, Kendall, Andrew, Leah, Mario, Mia, Liam, Luke and Casey; three brothers, John R. (and Kay) Conley, Paule E. (and Evelyn) Conley and Richard B. (and Irene) Conley.
Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son-in-lawa, Charles Rogers; three brothers, William H. Conley, Mitchell Conley, and Franklin D. Conley, and three sisters, Hazel Penix, Magdeline Zeman, and Louise Robinson.
Mildred retired from the Deaconess Hospital of Cleveland Ohio and has resided in the Bronston Community since 1985. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with burial to fllow the services in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Mildred Phipps will receive friend at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Pulaski Funeral home is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions take the form of donations to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
