Charles C. Van Hook

Mr. Charles C. Van Hook, of Somerset, son of the late Charles F. and Mary Martha (Hargis) Van Hook was born on April 1, 1932 in Pulaski County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 79. Other than his parents Mr. Van Hook is preceded in death by 4 brothers; William Garner Van Hook, Bennie Marcum Van Hook, Robert Marion Van Hook, and George Byron Van Hook, and 2 sisters Pauline Wilson Newberry and Mary Ella Lynch. Mr. Van Hook is survived by 2 sisters; Ruth Ullom and Christine (and Dale) Towles both of Somerset, Kentucky. Charles also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and host of friends who all mourn his passing. Mr. Charles Van Hook was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the United States Army and loved to sit and watch Golf. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. The family of Mr. Charles C. Van Hook will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
