Mr. Hue Decker, son of the late Huey and Effie Mae Carrender Decker, was born at Bronston, KY on June 27, 1931 and he departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2011 having attained the age of 79 years. Special thanks go out to the entire staff of Hospice of Lake Cumberland for their care and assistance.
He was widowed by Ann Decker. He was first united in marriage to Ms. Lela Helton, who preceded him in death. Survivors include their four children; two sons, Hue Frank Decker, JR of Burnside, KY, and Donald Lee (and Kathy) Decker of Middlesboro, KY; two daughters, Linda Rose Hampton and Donna Jean (and Al) North all of Somerset, KY; one brother, Kenneth Decker; two sisters, Addie Nicholas of Illinois, and Geneva Norfleet of Illinois and 11 grandchildren, Joseph Hampton, Mikkle Hampton, Mona Hampton, Kevin Worley, Dana Molden, Franki Coffey, Alex Decker, Angie Decker, Wayne Lee Decker, Julee Decker, and D.J. Decker Thompson; 9 great grandchildren, Anthony Pence, Nathaniel Pence, Joseph Maxwell Hampton, Lacey Hampton, Destiny Molden, Jalen Molden, Kinsley Jo Molden,Weston Coffey and Luke Decker; and several step grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents, and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Hulen Coy Decker; two brothers, Carl and Herstel Decker; and two sisters, Lorraine Decker and Gladys Albertson.
Hue was self employed, a farmer, and adhered to the Baptist Faith. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Buford of Nicholasville, KY officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bronston Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Hue Decker will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011.
