Theodore (Ted) Lattie, 84 of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg, KY.
He was born July 21, 1926 at Kilsythe, West Virginia to the late John and Charlotte Cochrane Lattiie,
He was a veteran serving both in the Navy and Army. While serving he earned (4) four bronze stars in the Korean Conflict. He was a brakeman on the Norfolk -Southern Railroad in Cleveland, Ohio and he loved Gardening. Mr. Lattie was of the Baptist Faith, a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church of Somerset, KY.
He is survived by; his wife, Loretta (nee Fitzgerald) Lattie; two sons, Edward ( and Karen) Fontaine of Acworth, GA, and Gary (and Carol) Fontaine of Twinsburg, OH; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; two brothers, George (and Betty) Lattie of Albertsville, AL and Larry Lattie of Sweeny, TX.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by ; one son, Ted Lattie, Jr.; one daughter, Sheila Lattie Barrett; one brother, John Lattie, Jr. and one daughter, Cora Watson.
The family of Mr. Theodore “Ted” Lattie will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 and at the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, West Virginia from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday Evening, April 18, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at the High Lawn Cemetery in Oak Hill, West Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19. 2011.
