Mr. Lowell M. Norton, son of the late James and Rebecca Norton, was born in Pulaski County, KY on May 27, 1922 and he departed this life peacefully in the presence of his family, at his residence having attained the age of 84 years.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Glenda Mae Gastineau Norton on March 25, 1943, she preceded him in death. Survivors include; one son, William "Bill" (and Jo Ann) Norton of Somerset, KY; three daughters, Lela Moore, Verna Sue Allen and Ada Christine "Cricket" Morgan all of Ferguson, KY; one brother, Paul (and Carol) Norton, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; one son, James(Jim) Norton; one brother, Homer Norton; one sister, Pearl Norton and one great grandson, Sam Leo Cox.
Lowell was a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church and he was also a World War II veteran.
He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wilson officiating, Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Lowell Norton will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
