Velma Strunk

Ms. Velma Strunk, of Hwy 39, daughter of the late General Jackson and Eva (Cordell) Strunk was born on January 27, 1925 in Revelo, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 86. Other than her parents Ms. Strunk was preceded in death by one brother, Odell Strunk; two sisters, Vaunda Roundtree and Vergie Strunk. Velma is survived by one nephew, Ray (and Janet) Roundtree of London, Kentucky, four nieces, Ruth (and Robert) Jones of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Barbara (and Lewis) Coffey of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Brenda (and Ronald) Rose of McKee, Kentucky, Joy (and Rick) Reynolds of Brodhead, Kentucky. Velma also leaves behind thirteen great, and 13 great-great nieces and nephews. Velma was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and had recently been attending Bible Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Velma loved gardening and baking, she was a kind person and will be greatly missed by all who new her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Pastor Don Stayton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery in McCreary County, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Velma Strunk will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 5-8p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home.
