Mr. Charles Forest Bates

Mr. Charles Forest Bates, son of the late John and Lucille Bates, was born in Ohio on August 18, 1942 and he departed this life in Somerset, KY on Saturday, February 19, 2011 having attained the age of 68 years. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Christine Shadoan Bates, she preceded him in death. Surivvors include; One son, Charles (and Maria) Bates of Tateville, KY; one daughter, Sandy (and Montie) Stigall of Tateville, KY; one brother, John (Glana) Bates of Ohio, two sisters, Penny Napier, and Sherry Ruthford; three grandchildren; Jamie (and Jami) Stigall, Jason (and Laura) Stigall, and Rebecca Decker, and eight great grandchildren. Charles was a retired Construction worker, he was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Darry Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnside Cemetery. The family of Mr. Charles Forest Bates will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home form 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until after services.
