Wilma Barnes Mounce

Wilma Mounce, the daughter of the late George and Ada Chaney Hargis was born at Ano, Ky.on August 14,1923 and departed this life on March 24,2007 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 83 years. She was first united in marriage to Mr. Clifford Barnes, he preceded her in death in 1959; she later was united in marriage to Mr. Luther Mounce, he preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include; one daughter, Sonya Karen "Suzzie" Kappeler and her husband Ronald of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Bill Kappeler of Dayton, OH, Marty Kappeler of Dayton, OH, Jon Barnes of Richmond, KY, Shelia Kappeler of San Fransico, CA and Jenny Wills of Georgetown, KY.; great grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Barnes and his wife Amy, Amelia Barnes, Mary Barnes, Hannah Barnes, Taylor Wills, Hannah Channell and Lauren Kappeler; three sisters, Zelta DeBorde, Elva Greer, and Beulah Robertson; and two brothers, Kenneth Hargis and Denton Hargis. Other than her parents and two husbands, she was also preceded in death by; two sons, Roddy Barnes and Randy Barnes; one deceased brother, Rev. Ewell Hargis; and one deceased sister, Zelma Hargis. Wilma was a wonderful lady who loved life, she was a kind person and was a member of the Beuna Vista Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Strunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Whetstone Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Wilma Mounce will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
