Mrs. Lena Spaw, daughter of the late Andrew (A.J.) "Jerd" Johnson Adams and Willie Keith Adams, was born on November 15, 1927 and she departed this life in Louisville, KY on March 20, 2007 having attained the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr.Clyde Spaw June 13, 1948, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include; one son, Douglas Spaw and his wife Carol of Louisville, KY; one daughter, Glenda Thompson and her husband Carl of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Ashley, April, Dustin and Dakota Spaw all of Louisville, KY; six sisters, Josephine Lawson True of Newcastle, IN, Lucille Wooten and her husband Aaron of Chula Vista, Ca., Lyda Couch of Birmingham, AL, Mary Cundiff of Walton, KY, Anna Lois Gholson of Somerset, KY, and Mildred Spears of Somerset, KY; and two sisters-in-law, Mable Adams and Opal Blevins; and one nephew, Darrell Blevins.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; one son, Fred Spaw who died at birth; one brother, Edgar Adams; two sisters, Betty Hardwick and Edna Adams; seven brothers-in-law, Arvis Spears, Bill Cundiff, Frank Gholson, Hubert Couch, James Lowell Lawson, Richard True and Roy Spaw and one sister-in-law, Minnie Spaw.
Lena was a homemaker and a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Graveside services will be held at the Tanner Cemetery on Friday, March 23, 2007. The family will recieve friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until time for graveside services. The Rev. Dustin York will officiate.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to Hospice of Louisville.
